Our Policies, Vaccine and Intestinal Parasite Testing Requirements
The pet parent/guardian is required to provide proof of current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo/Parainfluenza combination vaccine, Bordetella, Canine Influenza (H3N2 and H3N8) and have tested negative within the last 12 months for intestinal parasites (negative fecal/stool check). All vaccinations must have been administered by a licensed veterinarian. Pet parent/guardian must present written proof of vaccinations for each pet prior to boarding, daycare, and/or grooming services, or the parent/guardian may choose to have examinations and required immunizations administered by Richter Animal Hospital.
Please note, any pet due for vaccines which the pet parent/guardian elects to have performed by Richter Animal Hospital must also have an examination completed when immunizations are administered.
We reserve the right to vaccinate any animal presented without written proof of current vaccinations, at the pet parent/guardian’s expense.
The Royal Pet Resort & Spa is a flea/tick free environment. In order to maintain a parasite-free facility, any pet entering the resort with fleas and/or ticks will be treated, and the appropriate fees will be applied to the pet parent’s invoice. Pets testing positive for intestinal parasites will be treated in the same manner.
Although obviously sick or unvaccinated pets are not permitted to receive boarding, daycare or grooming services, the pet owner acknowledges that they are placing their pets into an area in which communicable diseases may pass between seemingly healthy pets. If following a provided service date the pet shows signs of illness, the pet owner may not hold The Royal Pet Resort & Spa liable for any inadvertent exposure the pet may have received; and if the client requests an examination, treatment, and/or medications for the pet, these services will be performed at the owner’s expense.
